Moonhub was initially founded by Dami Hastrup in 2016, followed by Vinh Ly and Hannah Sutcliffe shortly after. They are a vibrant start-up with a focus on training other companies using its cutting-edge virtual reality training system.
Moonhub is transforming learning at scale, creating state-of-the-art training experiences through a patented virtual reality technology. The business is backed by Google and Meta, as well as PiLabs, Ada Ventures and angel investors. The funding has accelerated the business from a team of 4 to over 20 in just one year. The product better equips trainees with their customers, including BNP Paribas, Bidvest Noonan, and Zurich Insurance, to name a few.
The challenge
We interviewed Vinh Ly, CTO and Co-Founder at Moonhub, about his experience with Cognism.
As a relatively new start-up, they had no previous lead generation tools in place and mainly relied on their network to acquire new business
How did Vinh discover Cognism?
“Through a friend that uses Cognism at her company. She told me how critical the technology is for a salesperson wanting to book more meetings and hit quota. “We typically speak to senior leaders in HR and learning & development at the first touchpoint. Once the sale moves further down the funnel, legal and procurement are brought into the mix. We can target any business worldwide, but we see great demand in the security, facilities management and retail sectors.”
He explained how they use the platform in a few different ways:
“We use the Chrome Extension in tandem with LinkedIn Sales Navigator. We build the lists in Sales Nav, generate the contact details in the Chrome Extension and sync these to Salesloft sequences. Then the data is routed to HubSpot via the integration.”
“I love the Chrome Extension because I don’t have to spend hours trudging through LinkedIn looking for email addresses. The information is accessible in one click.”
“Secondly, we build specific lists in Cognism’s Sales Prospector, generate the contact details, export the list as a CSV and upload them to HubSpot.”
What outbound channels do they use to ignite conversations with new prospects?
“At the moment, email is our main communication channel. We’ll start using a multichannel approach the more we grow as a business.”
